The II painting combines similar texture patterns that move in the same direction; giving sharp contrast against the darkness of the smooth matte canvas. The canvas is set in a bespoke burnished 'Black Zen' frame.

The Juxtaposition Series was created after a turbulent experience of grief. The canvases express an intoxicating mix of heartbreak and liberation. The boundary between balance and chaos. The five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance have all been conveyed through sensory disruption. Allowing the paintbrush guide her through grief; to growth. These pieces may look simple in execution, but they are rich in meaning and emotion.

This series focuses primarily on the surface of the canvas and the aesthetic quality of materials used in the paintings. The minimalist paintings highlight contrasting and complimenting elements by using natural colour pairings. Intended to neutralise a space, the work introduces dimension and geometric lines into the room.
