Arabella Rose has been immersed in the arts for over a decade, mastering the interplay of mixed media to evoke emotion and narrative. She studied Art and Design and found herself captivated by the world of abstract art. In 2018, whilst renovating her apartment, she discovered her passion of creating huge ‘oversized’ art and created her first gigantic piece - ‘The Fallen Swallow’. She loves the freedom to create movement and emotion through her work; by stimulating the senses aesthetically. For her, abstract art is about having a vast imagination and trusting the immersive process.

Framed in Leeds by a local framer, she paired her designs with beautiful wood and found a new relationship between frame and canvas - inclusive together as ‘art’, not as two singular components.

  • Working from her studio at Five Six Studio in Yorkshire, Arabella is working on her latest collection, The Juxtaposition Series. She is embracing the raw materiality of the canvas itself, layering natural tonalities to create striking contrasts. The series reflects her deep engagement with the tension between simplicity and complexity, a hallmark of her work.
