The Shadow of Heath Ledger was one of the first paintings Arabella ever created, over 10 years old this piece has remained modern. The ink black paint against the white canvas is interrupted by sharp red commissures. The Joker is depicted with a sadistic sense of humor, hence the colourful emphasis around the mouth.

The Dark Portraiture Collection comprises of a loose idea of figuration. Seemingly insignificant brush strokes interfuse together to create a suggestive composition. The collection is still incomplete, with many villainous figures looming on the shelves of the art studio. For custom portraits please contact us directly.   • When selecting where to hang the new artwork, consider sunlight, temperature and moisture. Pigments such as acrylics will fade over time if kept in direct sunlight. If hung in rooms with open fires or close to radiators, please be conscious that strong sources of heat can cause warping or discolouration to some mediums.

    Do not lean anything against the surface or lean the artwork; make sure the artwork remains upright or flat - to avoid bowing.

    Dust the artwork with a clean white, soft cloth or brush occasionally to prevent dust buildup. Don't use cleaning products or water (unless framed behind glass).
