Arabella Rose Murray has been painting for 10 years using a variety of mixed media. She studied Art and Design and found herself captivated by the world of abstract art. In 2018, whilst renovating her apartment, she discovered her passion for creating ‘oversized’ art and produced her first gigantic piece - ‘The Fallen Swallow’. She loves utilising the space to create movement and emotion through her work.
Working from Five Six Studio in Yorkshire, she is currently exploring the usage of texture in the new collection - The Juxtaposition Series, focusing on limiting what is added to a canvas and only using the organic material of the canvas itself. This series has helped her to further develop her style of contrasting and complimenting elements by focusing on natural tonal colour pairings. Contrary to some of her earlier work, the Dark Portraiture Collection, which steps into minimalism using thoughtful strokes of monochrome pigments.
